Canada says bans Russian gold, gold product imports

WASHINGTON, Jul 8 (PRIME) – The Canadian authorities have banned imports of Russian gold and gold products from Friday, according to a statement.

"The Government of Canada has banned the import of certain gold goods from Russia, shutting these products out of formal international markets,” the statement read.

The list comprises non-monetary unwrought gold, gold powder, semimanufactured forms; monetary gold, unwrought or in semimanufactured forms, or in powder form, gold jewelry and details, and "articles of goldsmiths' or silversmiths' wares and parts thereof, of precious metal other than silver, whether or not plated or clad with precious metal."
